Order of Malta Walsingham Pilgrimage 2023

The pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady in Walsingham, England’s Nazareth, has always been a firm favourite in the Order’s calendar. It is a wonderfully relaxed weekend and a great chance to chat and pray with volunteers and guests from all the branches of the Order. We are particularly pleased to welcome back our guests.

The weekend promises prayer, recollections and Mass, interspersed with a picnic in the grounds of the Abbey, a pilgrimage party, a superb post Mass lunch, and a chance to meet up with friends both old and new. Guests and volunteers will be staying in Elmham House, where the majority of meals are eaten.

The cost of the weekend is £245, but should you be unable to join for the whole weekend you are more than welcome to join us on the Sunday for the Holy Mile procession, Mass and lunch.

There will be buses leaving from Stratford on Friday 15 and returning on Sunday 17, to select this mode of transport please select the drop down option on the booking form of ‘travelling with the OMV to the activity’. Once you have booked we will be in contact to verify your travel arrangements; this will help us to plan the care of our guests efficiently.

Please make your application for Walsingham as soon as you can; there is a 10% discount for those booking before 11th August, the spaces always fill up, so please book early to avoid disappointment! If your application has been unsuccessful, as we have limited spaced available in Elmham House, then your payment will be returned to you, I will also send you an email if that is the case. 

When booking please inform us if you need a new DBS as this can take some time to process ahead of the weekend, as there are still delays in the system. Without an-up-to date ENHANCED DBS, we will be unable to welcome you on this year's pilgrimage.

No Accommodation: £150 (Discount code: NOACCOM)
OMV Member: £125 (Discount code: OMVMEMBER)
Medic: £125 (Discount code: MEDIC)
Sunday Lunch only: £40 (Discount code: SUNDAYLUNCH)
There are also a number of bursaries available to people who are not OMV members but are under the age of 35 (and for whom the full price is a bit steep); please email Elisa Defries to apply (walsingham@omv.org.uk).
