Christmas Reunion 2024

Please join us for the Christmas Reunion from 13 - 15 December 2024. If you would like to register your interest in coming as a volunteer, guest, medic or chaplain, please contact christmas_reunion@omv.org.uk

We will spend the weekend at Worth Abbey, where helpers and guests spend their time merrily catching up. This is a relaxed weekend, with inordinate cups of tea, Christmas dinner, carols, dancing, games, laughter and the OMV’s own 12 days of Christmas. It is the perfect way to prepare for Christmas with plenty of festive activities and the opportunity to join the monks in the Abbey for prayer.

Most of the group stay at Worth Abbey but there are a few spaces available for those who can arrange their own accommodation nearby. These spaces are limited and will be given on a first-come first-served basis, so please contact christmas_reunion@omv.org.uk if you are interested.

Many people's favourite activity, it is a great chance to catch up with old friends or introduce a new one. It is a small event and places go quickly, so please book early to avoid disappointment.  

DBS checks:

All volunteers must have valid DBS clearance with "enhanced" clearance, which the OMV DBS Officer will need to see. Please get in touch with omvdbs@gmail.com for more information. Please note that if you do not have a valid DBS form before the trip you cannot go.

Cost:

The cost of this activity is £135 for volunteers. Could all medics, chaplains and volunteers wishing to stay offsite please email the activity organisers for discount information. If you are staying off-site please use the code OFFSITE24.

Bursaries:

The OMV Bursary Scheme is there to help those who would not be otherwise able to.

As a charity, OMV has a limited bursary fund and bursaries are made at the Treasurer’s discretion.

We would strongly advise you to seek other forms of financial support from your family, school, university, parish or workplace before applying for a bursary.
